MY BIO / EXPERIENCE

After completing my A Levels in my home town, I went on to study at the Nottingham Trent University in Nottingham, UK. Here I obtained my Law LLB degree and what an amazing experience it was – learning about the eggshell skull rule in Tort Law or my favourite, learning about Public law and the judiciary.
After leaving University I quickly realized the job market for graduates was extremely competitive – without any real working skills, it was very difficult to even get a recruiter to look at my CV. Ultimately I decided to volunteer full time at a local UK immigration practice in my home town. Possibly the best choice I ever made; I learnt valuable skills and started a passionate career in immigration.
After some time I decided to apply for paid jobs and my dream was always to move to London. Again another exciting step in my life – my first job in central Mayfair, working for a Global Corporate immigration practice. BAL was my first real eye opener to how difficult immigration can be. Looking after multiple Global clients in the area of coordination and Consular applications.
Immigration is such a radically changing environment and I felt it was time for me to try something new and go into an area of immigration I had no experience – corporate UK immigration. Being a big four, EY presented a career changing opportunity. A brand new client and Tier 2 responsibility – another fantastic challenge.
Definitely the role in which I grew the most. A promotion and then another the year after. PwC was a major part of my career development – assisting with the consular applications / travel compliance of the UK internal population and then in my final year, the US internal population. Learning the principles of design and how systems work; it was so exciting.
And here we are today!! Almost 2 years of questioning every detail across 2 websites, 3 global offices and over 2000 web pages. A full service consular, passport and legalisation provider for the regions of London and New York.
