Only once your documents have been reviewed, will our team provide instruction on sending us all originals or arrange for free collection if you are in the central London area, for submission ON YOUR BEHALF to the relevant Consulate / Embassy. All options, including return delivery, will be discussed in line with your travel plans.

LIMITED DAYS VISA EXEMPTION*

Travellers are visa exempt for a stay of up to 30 days. You must however:

Hold a passport with 3 months validity beyond your intended departure date and have at least 1 blank page
Hold proof of sufficient funds (approximately 20 GBP per each day of stay in Belarus)
Hold a valid medical insurance policy with coverage of at least 10,000 EUR; valid for the entire duration of stay in Belarus
Enter and leave Belarus via the Minsk National Airport
The citizens of Vietnam, Haiti, Gambia, Honduras, India, China, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa must hold a valid multi-entry visa to the EU states or the Schengen Area, which has already been used at least once AND plane tickets with a confirmation of the departure from the Minsk National Airport within 30 days after the date of the entry. A residence permit of the EU countries is not a basis for visa-free visits to Belarus in this case.

THE VISA-FREE REGIME DOES NOT APPLY TO PEOPLE ARRIVING TO BELARUS BY PLANE FROM RUSSIA AND PLANNING TO GO TO THE AIRPORTS OF RUSSIA.

PASSPORT

Original passport. This must:

be valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date
have at least two blank visa pages

PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS

Two original recent 45mm x 35mm colour photographs. These must:

be taken within the last month
be taken against a plain light background and printed on photographic paper
show full frontal face, have a neutral expression and your mouth closed
have eyes open and free from reflection or glare from glasses
not have hair in front of face or have a head covering (unless it’s for religious or medical reasons)

Signed, dated and fully completed original application form. Please see attached: Belarus – Visa Application Form.

The application form must be:

filled out in legible handwriting or typing (in BLOCK LETTERS)
the purpose of the visit should be specified in detail
if a question does not apply, please write ‘N/A

LETTER OF INTRODUCTION

Signed and completed original letter of support from your home employer. This must be signed by a member of your HR, or a member of your management team. If the latter, this person must be at least a manager grade and/or at least the same grade as yourself, and must be aware of your trip.

Addressed to the “Embassy of Belarus in London”
Letter needs to be on home employer headed paper and dated within the last month
Letter need to be signed by authorised signatory of the home employer
Purpose of visit

Start date of employment and job title
Passport number and DOB

INVITATION LETTER (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

Signed and completed original invite letter from your inviting company.

Please see template attached: Belarus – Invite letter. Alternatively, the letter must include the following information:

Addressed to the “Embassy of Belarus in London”
Letter needs to be on inviting company headed paper and dated within the last month
Letter need to be signed by authorised signatory of the inviting company
Purpose of visit
People / places and organisation to be visited, with contact numbers
Applicant’s name and nationality
Passport number and DOB
Start & Expiry date of the passport
Dates of travel to Belarus
Validity of visa applied for
A guarantee to meet maintenance expenses
Medical insurance undertaking (if applicable)

THE LETTER MUST BE WRITTEN IN RUSSIAN, BEAR THE CORPORATE SEAL / STAMP, AND CONTAIN THE COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN BELARUS.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Clear colour copy of valid health insurance certificate from a medical insurance company or a letter from your bank / company which should contain the following information:

the name and address of the foreign insurance company / bank and it’s phone number
the name of the foreign citizen covered by the insurance and coverage for the territory of Belarus
it should be valid for the entire period of your stay in Belarus
the minimum limit of responsibility of the medical insurance is 10 000 Euro. Please only provide pages of your health insurance, containing the above mentioned information (usually a copy of a health insurance certificate is enough) – THERE IS NO NEED TO PROVIDE THE ENTIRE BOOKLET OF YOUR INSURANCE

PROOF OF UK RESIDENCE (IMMIGRATION)

Valid proof of UK residence. This must be presented as your valid original UK residency visa in your passport / in the form of a valid original UK Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card.

This must be valid for at least three months beyond your requested visa validity.

RED FLAGS

1 YEAR MULTIPLE ENTRY APPLICANTS

Multiple entry applicant’s applying for a 1 year visa (stay may not exceed more than 90 days per year) must also provide:

proof of registration of the inviting Belarusian company – original extract from the Unified Governmental Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Belarus OR a notarized copy of the certificate of governmental registration of the legal entity in Belarus, valid for 1 year from the date of notarization
a copy of contract (cooperation agreement) between Belarusian company and the applicant or the company where the applicant works confirming the existence of constant business relations, sealed by the Belarusian organization, or a copy verified by the consular officer against the original document

MANDATORY REGISTRATION

Upon arrival to Belarus visitors are required to register at the local citizenship and migration office of the Ministry of Interior of Belarus within 5 business days. Thereafter, local police authorities will issue a registration stamp, which will be attached to the visitor’s passport. If the visitor is staying in a hotel, this will be arranged by the hotel services (reception bureau).

All consular fees however are non-refundable once the application has been submitted; including if the application is then rejected or if you are issued a different visa validity to that requested.

Please also be aware that Belarus Visa fees are set in EUR, therefore based on the exchange rate at the time of making the payment, the below Visa fees can vary.

APPLICATION PREPARATION

Be proactive. Review the whole application process and makes notes on anything you require clarity on. By addressing this with your visa agent will make the process easier and more efficient.

DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

Be mindful that each document has its own requirements (i.e. passport validity / photo sizes / form signing / originals / information required for support letters etc). It is important that each requirement is adhered to.

DATA ACCURACY

Personal information must be accurate and consistent across all your documentation. Passport information, employment details, travel dates, postal addresses, points of contact etc. You must paint a consistent and accurate picture of your trip.

APPLICATION TIMESCALE

Always remember timescales. Some documents may take longer to obtain (i.e. documents from abroad / from official govt bodies / may require official certification or legalisation). Taking this into consideration along with processing times is very important.

PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Taking a practical approach to immigration is very important. Being considerate of consular closures, travel plans, processing times, delivery timeframes, receiving original supporting documents etc. You must be mindful and plan for such considerations.
