Invitation to foreigners for tourism
https://www.argentina.gob.ar/carta-de-invitacion-para-el-ingreso-de-extranjeros-la-republica
According to current immigration regulations, when a foreigner travels to the Argentine Republic for tourism and stays at the domicile of a resident in Argentina, he must draw up a letter of invitation to send to the Argentine consular authority abroad. The invitation letter serves the sole purpose of initiating the visa application process and does not guarantee, under any circumstances, the granting of the visa abroad.
This letter is informal and must meet the following requirements:
- It must be written in Spanish.
- It must be addressed to the consular consular authority (eg, to the Consul of the Republic in …).
- It must contain all personal and contact information of the inviting person resident in Argentina: name and surname, ID, address, landline or cell phone and email address.
- It must contain all the information of the invited foreigner: name and surname, nationality, date of birth, type and passport number, landline or cell phone number, email address and any other contact information in the place of residence.
- The letter must explain the reason for the trip, the inviter’s link with the guest, time of stay in the Republic, place of accommodation and estimated date of arrival and departure.
- It must indicate that the signer is responsible for the departure of the foreigner from the country when the authorized term of residence expires.
- The letter must contain the following paragraph: “As an invitee of foreigners, I have read and understand the terms established in Chapter VI of Law 25,871, Articles 116, 117, 118, 119, 120 and 121”.
- In addition, it must contain the signature of the inviter, certified by the Notary Public and the corresponding Notaries Association.
Original and clear colour copies of your last 3 months bank statements as a proof of sufficient funds. These must:
- show an approximate minimum balance of 50 USD per day of stay in Argentina
- clearly state your name
Bank statements which are downloaded from the internet must be stamped/certified by the bank.
Valid proof of UK residence. This must be presented as your valid UK residency visa in your passport / in the form of a valid UK Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card. A clear colour copy is acceptable.
This must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the intended entry date.
RED FLAGS
Since a very recent ruling from the immigration office in Argentina some Chinese nationals will no longer require tourist visas; instead, they will be required to apply for an electronic authorization for travelling to Argentina.
This ruling affects those who hold a Chinese ordinary passport issued by the People’s Republic of China with a valid visa category B2 issued by the United States of America and/or or a valid Schengen VISA stamped in your passport. Please note that Taiwanese Nationals are not affected by these changes.
Please click on this link and follow instructions to obtain the electronic authorization to travel: www.migraciones.gov.ar/accesible/indexA.php?reciprocidad
