All visa issuance is subject to consular discretion. FURTHERMORE, ALL VISA SUBMISSIONS SHOULD NOT BE MADE MORE 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO YOUR INTENDED TRAVEL DATE.

APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENT

Please note that the Embassy of Ukraine in London only accepts visa applications via an appointment system.

As part of the online application form, you will need to arrange this appointment. Please work with your visa agent to ensure this is arranged for a mutually agreed date / in line with your travel plans. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE APPOINTMENT, UNLESS REQUESTED.

Prepare documentation. Please do be mindful of originals and provide our team sufficient time for step 3 below.

IT IS IMPORTANT WE COMPLETE THIS STEP AS TO AVOID REQUESTING AMENDS UPON RECEIPT OF ALL ORIGINALS. FURTHERMORE, YOU MUST ALLOW OUR TEAM 1 WORKING DAY TO COMPLETE THE REVIEW PROCESS.

Only once your documents have been reviewed, will our team provide instruction on sending us all originals or arrange for free collection if you are in the central London area, for submission ON YOUR BEHALF to the relevant Consulate / Embassy. All options, including return delivery, will be discussed in line with your travel plans.

PASSPORT

Original passport. This must:

be valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date
have at least two blank visa pages
be issued no more than 10 years ago

PHOTOCOPY OF PASSPORT

Clear colour photocopy of the biodata page / photo page of your valid passport.

PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS

Two original recent 45mm x 35mm colour photographs. These must:

be taken within the last month
be taken against a plain light background and printed on photographic paper
show full frontal face, have a neutral expression and your mouth closed
have eyes open and free from reflection or glare from glasses
not have hair in front of face or have a head covering (unless it’s for religious or medical reasons)

APPLICATION FORM

Signed, dated and fully completed original application form. Please complete online at: http://visa.mfa.gov.ua.

When completing the application form you must:

ensure all your personal data from your passport is correct
when selecting the visa processing office, you must select the “Embassy of Ukraine in UK” (your application will be submitted in London)
upload a clear colour copy of your scanned passport photograph
when / if prompted, please do not make payment – we will take care of this on your behalf at the stage of lodging the application to the Embassy of Ukraine in London
once you have registered via the above Ukraine online visa application form, there will be an option to view appointment availability – as outlined above, please work with your visa agent to ensure this is arranged for a mutually agreed date / in line with your travel plans. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE APPOINTMENT, UNLESS REQUESTED.

TOURIST VOUCHER

Original valid tourist voucher issued by a registered hotel in Ukraine.

It must clearly state all your personal information as per your valid passport and confirm your dates of travel to Ukraine.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Proof of valid travel insurance. It must:

cover any costs of repatriation for medical reasons, emergency medical care and/or emergency hospital care or death during your stay in Ukraine.
be valid for the whole of Ukraine and the whole of the stay.
have a minimum cover of 30,000 EUR.

A clear colour copy is acceptable.

PROOF OF SUFFICIENT FUNDS

Clear original copies of your last 3 months bank statements, as a proof of sufficient funds. These must:

show a sufficient amount per day of stay, to cover the expenses during your intended stay in Ukraine and for the return to the UK
clearly state your name and address

BANK STATEMENTS WHICH ARE DOWNLOADED FROM THE INTERNET MUST BE STAMPED/CERTIFIED BY THE BANK.

TRAVEL ITINERARY

Clear colour copy of valid flight booking / travel itinerary. This must show a confirmed round-trip or onward travel.

If the latter, the traveller must also provide all documentation / immigration approvals (if applicable) for the onward travel.

PROOF OF ACCOMMODATION

Clear colour copy of confirmed accommodation (hotel, apartment, hostel, etc) booking mentioning applicant’s name, travel dates and accommodation address details.

PROOF OF UK RESIDENCE (IMMIGRATION)

Valid proof of UK residence. This must be presented as your valid original UK residency visa in your passport / in the form of a valid original UK Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card.

This must be valid for at least three months beyond your requested visa validity.

RED FLAGS

REFERRED APPLICATIONS

Application referred to the State Migration Service of Ukraine, can have processing times extended up to a period of 30 working days. Global Visas will keep all applicants updated should such a situation occur.

TRAVEL TO CRIMEA

A special permit is required if visiting the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine.

APPLICATION PREPARATION

Be proactive. Review the whole application process and makes notes on anything you require clarity on. By addressing this with your visa agent will make the process easier and more efficient.

DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

Be mindful that each document has its own requirements (i.e. passport validity / photo sizes / form signing / originals / information required for support letters etc). It is important that each requirement is adhered to.

DATA ACCURACY

Personal information must be accurate and consistent across all your documentation. Passport information, employment details, travel dates, postal addresses, points of contact etc. You must paint a consistent and accurate picture of your trip.

APPLICATION TIMESCALE

Always remember timescales. Some documents may take longer to obtain (i.e. documents from abroad / from official govt bodies / may require official certification or legalisation). Taking this into consideration along with processing times is very important.

PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS

Taking a practical approach to immigration is very important. Being considerate of consular closures, travel plans, processing times, delivery timeframes, receiving original supporting documents etc. You must be mindful and plan for such considerations.
